ENERGY COAST CHRISTMAS! 2025
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
In 2025, we closed the year with something special.
We closed the year with a Christmas celebration at Energy Coast UTC focused on giving young people a positive and memorable final day before the holidays. The event welcomed over 400 students area and created a safe, structured space for celebration
Creating change through action.
The Event - 19th December 2025
The evening included a live Christmas quiz, youth awards recognising effort and achievement, music, and festive activities. R Street Food Van provided hot food, helping create a relaxed and social atmosphere where young people could spend time together.
MP Josh MacAlister attended to show support for young people in West Cumbria. Marc Goodwin, the Town Crier, brought energy and humour to the event, adding a strong community presence to the celebration.
The purpose was clear. Give young people a good last day. Celebrate their progress. Recognise their achievements in front of peers and partners. The event ended 2025 on a high and reinforced Energy Coast LIVE’s commitment to creating positive, inclusive experiences for young people.
The Impact
Students embraced the celebration from start to finish. During the breaks they filled the hall with music and dancing, creating a lively and relaxed atmosphere. Many took photos with UTC and NEAD staff who were dressed up for the occasion, adding humour and personality to the event. The interaction between staff and students broke down barriers, encouraged connection, and made the evening feel inclusive and memorable for everyone involved.
The impact of the event was clear. Over 300 young people experienced a structured, safe celebration that strengthened their connection to school and community partners. Staff reported improved engagement in the days that followed, with students speaking positively about being recognised and included. The event reinforced a culture of belonging and achievement, showing young people that their effort matters and that their community invests in them.
